This program is designed to meet the educational needs of healthcare professionals who are involved in the treatment of patients with Fragile X Syndrome. New concepts and approaches for the use of genetic & clinical laboratory tests will be presented.

Target Audience

Obstetricians/Gynecologists, Genetic Counselors, Mental Health Specialists, Laboratory Professionals, and those related healthcare professionals interested or involved in the clinical management of Fragile X Syndrome (FXS).

Educational Objectives

Upon completion of this educational activity, participants should be better able to:

  1. Describe Fragile X Syndrome (FXS) and the molecular basis for its related disease states.
  2. Recognize the key clinical features of Fragile X Syndrome.
  3. Differentiate between testing technologies and methodologies for Fragile X screening and diagnosis.
